I just received an Email from Amazon.com stating that my game's est arrival date has been changed from the 20th to the 16th.

Does this mean the game's actual release date has changed, or just that I might be able to get in a day or so before the 20th? (early access or whatever?)

Anyone else receive an email stating their game will be delivered earlier?

At the very least, this will give me a chance to pre-load the game right, have it installed and waiting to log in for the first time on the 20th. Sorry I never been in an MMO launch before. Don't exactly know how this is going to work.

Oh ok, cause the email said, due to recent info on the release of this item, the delivery date has been changed, or something to that extent.

Hello,

Here's an update for customers who have pre-ordered Star Wars: The Old Republic that was scheduled to be released on December 20, 2011. Because beta access ends at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on December 19, 2011, we've decided to ship the game early to customers starting December 15, 2011. We'll be updating orders over the next two days and new estimated delivery times will appear in Your Account shortly after our updates are complete. These changes will be applied to your account automatically and there is no action needed on your part. Please see below for an update to estimated delivery times based on shipment method.

New Estimated Delivery Times for the Contiguous US:

* Release Date Delivery - on or before 12/19/2011
* One-Day Delivery - on or before 12/19/2011
* Two-Day Delivery - on or before 12/19/2011
* Standard Shipping - on or before 12/24/2011
* Super Saver Shipping - on or before 12/24/2011

Orders shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, and international addresses will also ship earlier than originally planned.

Once we've finished updating the orders, you'll be able to find your updated Estimated Delivery Time under "Your Orders" in Your Account:

http://www.amazon.com/your-account

Since extremely limited quantities of the Collector's Edition are available, we recommend not canceling an order for this edition unless you do not intend to order it again. Please note that customers who cancel and attempt to re-order the Collector's Edition may lose their place in line.

Please note that official game access is scheduled to begin at 12:01 a.m. on December 20, 2011. BioWare will be bringing down all servers for a short period of time before the launch of the game. You will be contacted in-game with details on this planned outage and when you can expect all servers to be back online.

We appreciate your patience and hope you enjoy the game.

Amazon Video Game Editors

**Update December 14, 2011**

We want to assure everyone that this is an official Amazon post and the information we've provided here is being given to all of our Customer Service representatives worldwide. We apologize if information you received from our Customer Service was different than the information we provided in this post.

Additionally, we would like to clarify that customers who selected One-Day or Two-Day delivery prior to December 12, 2011 have been transitioned to Release Date Delivery and have been refunded for the difference in shipping cost.

Ahh ok I see, Well I haven't got an email with my early access code or whatever, so I guess this will just give the the benefit of pre-loading the game on my system, either way it will save me some time, not having to do it on the 20th.

No, Amazon ships games early all the time. That's just their way of telling you that they are getting you the copy of the game ahead of the actual release date. You still can't pass the online authentication and release date check anyways. You can just admire how pretty the box is. :D

Umm btw Lach, you can pre-load now if you have already received the pre-order code. You were suppose to redeem that when you pre-ordered online. Basically, anyone who pre-ordered should have been emailed a code to redeem at SWTOR.com so you can get in on the early access. If you haven't done so already, you better do it now so you have ANY chance at getting in this weekend. Those that redeemed this code in December will get in on Friday. When did you pre-order SWTOR?

Also, BioWare has decided to give us a two-day grace period so for those that will be waiting for their retail physical copy can continue playing until they get their game.

I already redeemed mine, and she has redeemed hers, but we haven't got the early access code yet, But I can see on my (and hers) SWTOR accounts how they are both redeemed, and even have the Virtual color stone tied to our accounts. But No early access code yet.

We don't want to download the game due to we share the same data cap a month, (live together) and that will be over 50 gigs with patches and all if we do it together, and we Netflix and Hulu quite a bit lol.

But can we Pre-load the game using our discs and all instead when they come in the mail tomorrow?

I pre-ordered mine about 2 weeks ago, and She pre-ordered hers about a week and a half ago.

Ahhhhhh I see what you mean now. Cool. I was just making sure. Some people overlook that bit of email for the code. Yeah, i understand some people have bandwidth caps. I'm really not sure about pre-loading the game from the discs, but more than likely you should be able to do so. World of Warcraft allowed you to do that. Should be the same way with SWTOR.
