Torchlight Demo and Game Impressions!!!

I downloaded the demo today and just finished it. Definitely buying it. For $20, its a great buy. Your thoughts on the game?

I'm playing the first dungeon right now (it's minimized :P) I have to say I like it so far. The spellcaster has some brilliant and colorful spells. Very fun. This will hold me over till Dragon Age comes out. :)

Wait for Dragon Age...Because the full version installation of Torchlight,I've seen,is just less then 600mb...But it offer a editor that allow you to make your own level.

Torchlight is AWESOME... imo.... I'm not the least bit disappointed with it.... It's like Diablo 2.5.... my only gripe is no Multiplayer support, but tbh, I spent most of my time playing Diablo I & II by myself anyway.

I really hope Blizzard is watching this game.... Blizzard please use the "Shared Stash" and maybe even the "Pet Inventory".

Awesome game, If I had to choose between spending that 20 bucks on food or Torchligh, I would choose Torchlight

My impression of the demo is that it's nice to look at. The artwork and music are well done. I'm probably the only one to say this so far, but I thought the game was boring to play. Just not my cup of tea.

Torchlight will be single player only. however, a separate mmorpg set in the same universe is currently being developed.

Just finished the demo...plays just like Fate...or Titan Quest etc.

Same old, same old....

But if your bored and got 20 bucks to spend you could worse....alot worse.

I love the game. I've already played 6 hours today (lvl 23 alchemist right now) and very few games now-a-days holds my attention for that long in one stretch. Best $20 I've spent by far.

Savegeta im playing a alchemist also..Fun class isnt it..Love the lightning spell..Couldnt shut down the game last night..The boss fights are long an tough to take down..Well call the red highlighted ones bosses..Came close to dying twice last night..Got my blood flowing..Its a decent fun game...How can any gamer pass this up for 20 bucks..If i didnt have to work today id be playing right now...Ill play tonight..Also got forza 3..Its in the back burner for right now..Glad this also came out this week..It will hold me over till dragon age next week..Looking forward to what these guys can do in the future..Relic seams to be a fresh new company..

I don't like the world they've created because it's just so generic like they obviously stuck with the art style they know from Blizzard but the world they've created is just... meh. Also theres no online so that instantly kills it and you end up thinking "just gonna go back to Diablo 2 until 3"

I'm a level 15 alchemest in the game now, still loving it. Each dungeon is very unique in its look but not in its design (I know its random, but there isn't anything special here). The combat is fun and exciting though. The art is what gets me the most. Very vibrant colors and interesting spells make this one a winner.

Well it is made by the same people, but I never played mythos so I wouldn't know(was it even released?).

Note: play it on Hard at least.... I started my 1st character on Normal... and there was just no challenge, no fear of death.... restarted on VERY HARD... its much better now.

After I get to know the game a bit more... I think I'll take a stab at VERY HARD w/ Hardcore turned on.

I have played it for one hour. It is really great. Some of the people who have left Blizzard are working on this game, so it is like Diablo in so way. But it is also different from diablo. In my opinion, it's worth your time and money. So buy it!!!

Played it for about an hour, cool little game. You can definitely hear the Diablo influence in the music. I may purchase it this weekend, haven't decided for sure. Still have quite a few games to finish, and Dragon Age comes out next week.
