Hey guys, found a really cool mod that enhances the graphics of torchlight quite substantially, if your interested here's the linkhttp://www.gamefront.com/files/17177225/SSSTorchlightTextures131.rar

Here's a preview, but I don't know, imo it makes it look worse, it enhances the washed look of most of the other textures and it makes it look awkward overall unlike the nice default look.

Thanks for that link
I actually like how that looks. Thanks! :D

Same here, might give this mod a try
Its opinion but how? It makes it looked more detailed but keeps the cartoony lookHere's a preview, but I don't know, imo it makes it look worse, it enhances the washed look of most of the other textures and it makes it look awkward overall unlike the nice default look.

[QUOTE="DanielDust"]Its opinion but how? It makes it looked more detailed but keeps the cartoony look Yes, but not all the textures, maybe what I tried was an older version, but not all the textures are edited (I even saw unedited textures in those screenshots for 1.31). Torchlight looks pretty decent, but when you put detailed textures, it makes the default ones, that are still present, look extremely awkward, but of course, it's an improvement if somebody wants more detail :P.Here's a preview, but I don't know, imo it makes it look worse, it enhances the washed look of most of the other textures and it makes it look awkward overall unlike the nice default look.

Yeah its a decent mod, the game looks quite a bit more detailed now, not experienced any problems thus far, but your right load times do increase slightly, they were never long to begin with so its cool.

Yeah exactly, it's a nice change of scenery after nearly 50 levels :D Thanks for posting it. Someone recommended a graphics mod, but I never really looked into it.
Tried out this mod. Pretty neat I must say. Loading times increased a bit, but I guess that's to be expected. Took some screens (last 2 shots show a before and after view of similar location for comparison:

Ok, your screens look x10 better than that preview. It doesn't detract from it's visual art style at all; it only adds more textures/detail which are always welcomed! Thanks Gedz!
Edit: I ended up clicking on that facebook advert 4 times LOL!

No prob :D but I agree with you. The original textures gave it a certain "style" as you put it. Nevertheless, just wanted to see what it would look like ;)

:D The readme txt said to put the new textures in the "mods" folder. I don't have a mods folder. Am I missing something here? Thank you in advance. :)
Edit: Nevermind. I believe it's named "Media" in my main folder. Thanks again. ^ ^
I don't think I will use it, but its interesting. Looks like a slightly higher quality with a grainy feel like Diablo.

It's in the appdata folder. So type %appdata% in start bar -> runic games -> torchlight then mods, I think

Now I'm going to be thinking about Dial soap when I visit my local CVS store (convenience store in southern cali). The power of advertising! Mind-resonating vortex![QUOTE="sn4k3_64"]
