Terrible. It wasn't a Rezga series though so that explains it. Could not get any decent setting from anything. IT was impossible to get pure yellows as they always turned up green.
Where are you buying and how much? We might be able to find you a better deal
bought this TV for my mum, no t bad for a 720p TV. toshiba do a decent basic TV, no frills like media playback, standard 50hz.
Now I have 4 Toshiba tvs, and all of them perform wonderfully. 50in DLP,55in LCD,55in LED, and a 26in LCD. The only one I really have a issue with is the DLP and I purchased it from work for only 50.00, so I can't complain. I know Chubby said he had a previous service issue with a Toshiba he owned, but I have also had a service issue with a LG product, which only lasted a year, before the thing just quit working altogether. So I guess it depends on which products do you justice. That and price point.I think LG is made in Korea while Toshiba is a Japanese product. I don't think it matters though, seeing as how some even outsource each other to assemble, or help with certain componenets of their products.

japanese company, but not made in japan. Only top end panasonics are made there. everyone else is usually made in malayasia or korea...

Panasonic and Pioneer would be the best. Sony is still considered top, but since CRTs are not made anymore they aren't as highly ranked.

True. Heck, even the 360 is made in malaysia I believe. Created here, made over there. Cheaper labor.Toshiba's 2009 series were "assembled" in the UK. I'm not familiar with the AV700 but the 2010 RV series (which are inexpensive) are highly rated. According to HDTVTest, the RV753 is a superb TV with 10bit colour, one of the best picture processing engine's on the market, lots of inputs, extensive colour calibration and an excellent quality screen (S-PVA but less blur than Samsung's). It's direct competition was the Samsung C580.
They make impressive TVs. At the lowest end, they have a habit of rebadging generic TV's so a Samsung/LG would probably be better but around the lower mid/mid range, they make very nice sets.
