I have a Toshiba 32" LCD TV.

I'm using a DVI to HDMI convertor to send picture to my HDMI channel. The cable goes straight through my graphics card and only video is sent.

I also have a VGA input on my TV for PC input and it has it's own 1/8" sound input for audio.

Is there any way to make the sound coming from my PC to my TV(into the 1/8" input by the VGA PC channel) to provide audio for my HDMI channel?

Also, I'm running a 6ft 1/8" cable from my pc to the tv.

Please help!

To get audio output via HDMI on Nvidia cards I think you can buy an internal cable and hook up the output on your sound device to the Nvidia card.

Are there any options to pick where the source audio for HDMI comes from on your TV? I know my Toshiba has that option for the VGA input and I think it does for one of the HDMI ports as well. If not, you'll have to rig up some extra speakers or pick up a different sound card, which aren't ideal options. I know the 4000-series ATI cards have HDMI outputs that carry audio too, which is a nice feature.

You would have to check the manual. My Sharp Aquos has one HDMI port that also has the standard red and white RCA jacks next to it, I can select on the input which I want to use. As for the VGA port, it should support full 1080p and will look good. There generally isn't a problem with analog sources unless you're picking up a lot of interference, which you shouldn't be with a short cable. If your TV on VGA support the native resolution I would just use that and the 1/8" TRS jack. Problem with the TRS is you will lose surround sound (except maybe Pro Logic II).

ATI has had it from the X2*** series and Nvidia since the 9 series. You should be able to get an adapter for digital audio + DVI into HDMI.
