First of all, budget, as Blu said. And I recommend building parts instead of Barebone PC's, although they are pretty good. Shop on Newegg.

1. AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition

2. MSI 790FX-GD70 AM3 Crossfire Motherboard

3. Corsair 4GB DDR3 1600MHz RAM

4. Corsair 750 Watt PSU & Seagate 1TB (1000 GB) 7200RPM HDD

5. XFX HD 6950 2GB Video Card

6. Samsung SATA DVD Burner

7. Antec Dark Fleet Mid Tower Case

Total: $973.54

EDIT:

If you really want the Hexacore (6 Core) Phenom instead of the qaud core Phenom, then order this instead. However, keep in mind that it does cost more. Don't worry about the other components. Everything would still be compatible because this CPU uses the same socket as the quad core I selected above.

angelyoel

Aside from low-end liquid cooling units like the Corsair H50/H70, liquid cooling is for extreme overclocking. I highly doubt you'd be doing anything that would require it. That would be more appropriate for attempting to reach over 4.0 GHz and beyond. The most you'd need is an ordinary heatsink (or a low-end liquid cooling unit like the H50/H70).

It looks fine. However, if you intend to get a second video card, the motherboard I chose would be better. The reason is because the board I chose provides all 16 lanes for EACH card when in Dual-Crossfire mode. This ensures that each card gets the maximum bandwidth provided by PCI-E 2.0 technology. The board you chose only provides 8 lanes for each card when in Dual-Crossfire mode. This doesn't matter if you don't intend to use Crossfire. However, if you do, it will.

Maximum bandwidth or not, the performance loss would be very very minimal. Very much less than noticeable if you ask me.

Seems fine, but I don't recommend PSU's that aren't from Corsair, OCZ, or Antec. Also, why don't you order from Newegg?

angelyoel
Defiantly go with the 570 if you can fit it in your budget. Or the 6970 if you prefer AMD over Nvidia for one reason or another. They are literally almost equal in performance, and in the benchmarks I've seen the 570 wins half of them over the 6970 and vice versa with the 6970 over the 570. I personally would still go with the nvidia offering, being the GTX 570, because of the overclocking capabilities of the card compared to that of the 6970, which is not as impressive. The 570 can hit GTX 580 at stock speeds, a very worthy overclock If you ask me.
