my dad purchased a sweet comp recently and i have a bunch of games on my external hard drive and i decided to plug 'er up and all was well, i started the game, but since it was a new comp, it hasnt downloaded a necessary patch when entering online multi. so i waited for it to come up only to find a message saying something like "you need administrative permission to access this patch" which bewildered me, because i used another comp with vista and this never happened (nor did it happen with XP) could someone point me in the right direction? thanks!

Try running the patch as an administrator. You do that by right-clicking the file and then click "Run as Administrator." Let us know how it goes.
