I have the turtle beach x11 headset and I want to know if i should get the turtle beach dss. is it worth the money? does it add more bass boost? and will it work if i connect it to my tv's optical audio out and my Xbox 360 connects to my tv with hdmi?

It should do all of those things for you, yes. Since you already have the x11, I'd strongly recommend the DSS. Simulated Surround, Bass Boost, Optical support, and a nice independent volume control.

My brother got the DSS a couple weeks ago for his b-day to use with his X31 and he absolutely loves it. I tried out his X31 + DSS combo and it sounds nearly identical to my X41 that I paid $199 for! If you have the X11, then the DSS will make it sound SO MUCH better in adding the Dolby positioning--just like the X41. Go for it! PS: My parents ordered the DSS on this site since they had real good pricing: http://www.provantage.com/voyetra-turtle-beach-systems-tbs-2100~7VOYE03L.htm
