I'm using a Samsung 1080i tv that's plugged into my computer right now, but vista is only letting me use a max res of 1360x768 and 60hz, but CCC says I can have a max of 1920x1080 and 75hz. The heck? Can somebody explain please? (I'm using 4850 w/ dvi adapter)

thanks!

Im pretty sure that computers only output progressive resolutions, so your 1080i tv is not accepting a 1080p signal.

I have a Westinghouse 1080i/720P tv: it's native/max resolution is 1366 x 768 therefore that is the highest resolution i can run my PC or 360 via VGA at. These are 1080i TV's because 1080i only draws 540 lines at a time and the sets are capable of a max at 768..does that make sense?
