You can buy universal remotes that work on all kinds of tv's. Have a look in the market and ask for one with an av button. I don't know how you can tell what remote will work on your tv, you'll have to ask the seller that.
Your TV probably doesn't have a separate source button, but it should have a menu button or something on it that should allow you to change the source. Aside from that, change the batteries or buy a replacement from the manufacturer or get a universal.

Yeah that's even better than what I said. I didn't think of the menu button having the av switch, good thinking. If he phones the manufacturer and tells them his model and serial number then surely they'll send him a replacement free of charge.
Did you try adding new batteries to the remote? :D
If so, you'll probably be able to change to AV mode by going through your televisions menu option. Check the front panel of your t.v. and see if there is any button that brings up the option. Then look for anything that says, Input, Video, etc and try finding it. Most televisions have the option to do it somewhere without the remote. Also, if by chance you have the manual, reference it, or look online and google your model number to see how to access your advanced options.
