tv video in problem

just looking for a little help here cause i have no idea what to do. recently my video in channels like the one my dvd player uses and more importantly my xbox 360 uses have the letterboxes on the left and right of the screen and this happens with both my 360 and dvd player so i know its the tv itself. so now when im playing a game the image is all compressed in the center of the screen. not sure what to do cause i lost the original remote that came with the tv, i now have a universal remote and it will let me get into the menu but wont let me move between options let alone select one.

any ideas?

its a sanyo 30" widescreen hdtv.

Use the controls on the TV itself

Your manual should tell you how, if you lost that, download it. If that doesn't work you'll need the remote to reset it to wide
