Overkill (my opinion). 1 is enough. If you want more power I'd recommend a GTX 570

Two 460's is basically equivalent, if not better than the 570.

Actually, they are almost always better than a 570, and at times they do beat a 580.

you can probably find a used 460gtx for $100 or even less nowadays if you look on local Ads like craigslist. 2 of those cards are equivalent to the performance of a 580gtx.

its a good set up. and right now i looked at newegg and they have a EVGA GTX 460 1GB for $149 which is a really nice deal. now compare the price of 2 GTX 460s and then the price of a GTX 570 or GTX 580, even at $149 brand new it is a good deal.

and lets say you dont even have a GTX 460 to start with. well get 2 of those EVGA GTX 460 for $149 and thats $298 compared to the GTX 570 which the cheapest is $329 and well the GTX 580s are even more.

By adding another 460 will it give me a big boost on BF3? It seems a little sluggish on high at 1920 by 1200. I have a i7 930. 6 gigs. They are only 150 on newegg. Have they recently changed anything on the evga 460? I noticed the card has a slightly different skin than my 460 that I bought on the launch date. Thanks

I have 2. I average 60ish FPS in BF3 and 100ish in The Old Republic. Yeah, it's still good haha.

Yup, two of those babes is more than enough and cost less than many other single GPU solutions. I'd say yes get another one.
