1-How hard is the game? There are four difficulty levels. I'm looking for something to put a challenge, but I don't want it to frustrate me either.

2-Is the game locked at 30fps?

Normal is somewhat challenging actually. I found myself running low on ammo and health packs alot. They throw alot more at you than in DS1.

The game runs SUPER smooth at Max settings. The requirements are not bad. It is not locked at 30FPS, however it is with Vsync turned on. Even with vsync turned on (cut my frames from 60 to 30) it still ran like it was at 60.

On normal, it's pretty standard. Pretty easy on certain parts. I'm not using stasis on enemies. The game is not locked at 30fps and it runs very, very smooth.

Thanks guys for replying. I will go with the 3rd difficulty, what do you think? @dakan you are confusing me with someone else, I loved DS1 and I will enjoy DS2.

I played the game on Zealot 1st play through watch out VERY HARD and it will Punish you a lot. Good Gun management is key and never forget you can BACKTRACK on Dead Space 2 a lot of people complain they dont have the Ammo for the last Boss etc when a 5 min walk and your at the Shop again.

Weird, i remember that you said that and i told you that perhaps the reason is that you played the thing first. Since when i played the thing last year, i found it borring. Those games feel alike.

The third difficulty seems about right for me.

I found the original game a little bit too easy on Normal. Played the sequel on Survivalist and I would say it felt pretty good diffculty wise, probably could have gone higher without too much frustration. Final battle was very frustrating though due to lack of ammo - had to reload an earlier save just to get through it :(

Or you could have walked back to the shop. People are constantly making that mistake at that part of the game. The shop is far away and you have to contest with the Necro that follows you but its a pretty clear run.

How long is the campaign compared to the first one? About the same?

Without spoiling anything, does it leave room at the end for another game or is their closure?

I dont really think the first left an opening for a sequel but they still made one. Im sure viseral will rustle up a 3rd installment too.

I haven't finish it yet, but so far its easy (I'm on chap. 4 or so). You can get more ammo by "blow" up the monster's dead corpse. What I used to do is use the telekinesis to get their arm/leg from their dead corpse and throw it back at them then a ammo will drop.

I found the first to be good, but I am enjoying the 2nd one alot more. Others might be like me and like the 2nd alot more (although I am pretyt sure I am in the minoriety lol). I donno just enjoying it more then the first.

The controls are much better, the performance is amazing, its more challenging and I have jumped more already then I did in the whole Deadspace1.
