my friend has 768 ram memory, can he install windows 7 ???

I have acer notebok widouth dvd drive how can i install windows 7 ???

7 ran fine for me on 512mb. 768mb is plenty if all he's gonna do is browse the web.

If you want to run Windows 7 on your PC, here's what it takes: 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor. 1 gigabyte (GB) RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit). 16 GB available hard disk space (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit). DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver. so this says that he cant install, but someone sad he can, that is why forums are for

Those are the recommend specs. He can install it on less. I know from personal experience that it will work with 768mb of ram. I really don't see the point in installing it though. XP will run better and will still be supported for a few more years. If anything He should put Ubuntu 10.10 on his computer

i know its recommended, im just explaining zxl why didnt i google it, he wants it only for looks i guess :D
