Tyranids or Chaos?

First off, there will be boss fights in Dawn of war 2, it will be similiar to Diablo's boss battles, what is your thoughts on that?

With that said, IF there is only 4 factions in Dawn of war 2, who would you want the final faction to be? Chaos? Tyranids?

I'll take the Adeptus Mechanicus. Requisition me a Titan...or maybe one of them snazzy vortex missiles.

Seriously, though, if you have space marines in there, you need to temper them with the forces of chaos...and chaos marines are the perfect foil.

Oh well. My choice would be Tyranids - but it's looking like it'll be Chaos.

No matter what, it's going to be Chaos.

Orks, Marines, Eldar and Chaos are simple the best known factions of the Warhammer 40k universe, and even though I'd rather like to see Tyranids (to see something new), they're going with Chaos. Tyranids might be in an expansion though.

When was this 'boss battles' thing announced?

Anyway, you can't have the Space Marines without Chaos there to be their mortal enemies. I would've liked Tyranids, but it'll probably go with the well known four (Eldar, Space Marines, Chaos, Ork).

Like DoW1 there will likely be 4 races out of the box and then they'll milk out a series of add ons that add 1-2 races each.

The fourth race would of course be Chaos because Tyranids will NEVER make it into DoW 2, same as 1.

Tyranids are incompatible with strategy games because they have no strategy. Nor do they have buildings.

Also they suck because GW used them as an excuse to eliminate Squats despite them being the best 40k race all because one or two new people at their studio were whining about not liking them.

On the contrary, the Tyranid hivemind is a greater strategist than any other race's. Tyranids are not mindless beasts, they are tactically and strategically unmatched, not to mention more resourceful and adaptive than any other race in the universe.

And DoW2 will have very little base-building, so the current lack of structures for the Tyranids is not a hindrance.

Chaos hands down. together with the Imperium of Men, da Orkz and the Eldars, these 4 factions alone are what really carries the Warhammer 40k mythos. as cool as some of the fans think Tyranids are ( and i don;t ), it's not even close to being significant in the entire big picture.

simply put? without Chaos a Warhammer 40k game would be meaningless.

I'm all chaos but I wouldn't mind it if Tyranids were there instead, would help me get back into the zerg mindset for starcraft 2. :P

I would love to see the Nids in there. But their game mechanics would make this new squad-based thing far to complicated.

Well it's a little unfair that I get my say in because I just watched the new Dawn of War 2 CGI trailer that clearly hinted at the Tyranids being the last race in the game. I have a feeling that only the Space Marines, Orks and Eldar will be playable in singleplayer, with the Tyranids acting as the main antagonist to those three throughout the story.sykonfc

Relic would never do that. Having a race that everybody has wanted in the game for so long, but that is totally unplayable, would piss a lot of people off much more than even not including them at all. Relic's smart enough to know this.

...sigh....really couldn't care less about Tyranids. not having Chaos in the game would make the game so meaningless.... Jinroh_basic
