As long as it doesn't require to be online 100% of the time you are playing, I don't see the issue. Why would you need to install across more than 3+ machines? Unless you cannot revoke the installations. That would suck and it is detrimental to the customer.
EDIT: Typos.
UbiSoft at it again. More DRM fun was posted a couple of days ago and yeah, Ubi does not get it.WhiteKnight77The search function really needs to be improved. Newest result I got was from the 8th of January. :|

You seem to have missed the point, the problem here is that anytime you make hardware changes it counts as a new activation. So say you buy a new video card for your PC, you now have activated it twice (on the same PC). So say you make 3 hardware changes, poof, you can no longer install.

You're right. My fault for not reading properly. This is indeed a garbage policy and I daresay, hurts more than online-only DRM (if that is even possible).Exactly why I NEVER buy Ubisoft games. These idiots just don't understand how bad they are ****ing themselves over do they? Millions in lost sales because of BSDRM, have fun at the bottom of the totempoll ubi...idiots.jer_1just do like i do (if you have a console) buy their games used...
ANNO 2070 does not use Ubisoft DRM. It uses something called "Tages" by the company Solidshield. Not saying that this is a good thing, just trying to clear up the facts here.
It uses the new Ubi drm (not the always online drm) and Tages which is horrible.ANNO 2070 does not use Ubisoft DRM. It uses something called "Tages" by the company Solidshield. Not saying that this is a good thing, just trying to clear up the facts here.

Have over 80 hours logged in on Anno 2070 so far, its a fantastic game and one of last years best but the DRM is ridicolous. Its a shame to because the game is so good and the devs did a great job, just the drm is such garbage. Ive been lucky so far as only one time it went into offline mode and havn't had the 3 activations issue yet, hope they take this drm off though later on like they have in the past.
pc gamers start to dislike them and their bs and then they blame low pc sells to piracy, classic ubisoft

It's thread #30 after the stickies. That is a solution but I am happy with my forum settings as they are right now and after scanning the first page and doing a search I shouldn't have to do anything else. GameSpot should just fix the search function. It always seems like whenever GameSpot has a shortcoming, it won't be looked into anytime soon,
This thread or a bump for the old one was needed as Ubisoft is a disgrace to the very hands that feed them. I personally stopped buying Ubisoft games as thats the only way they will listen to us gamers.
I tell you, give them a kick in the pants. Forego all Ubisoft games until they realize its not pirates that is the big problem. Its the publisher treating customers as pirates.
Don't support them with your money. They will be forced to listen to the consumer then. And after that we can return to buying GAMES, and not some hash that has the primary purpose of DRM first and a game thrown in secondary. DRM can make a game frustrating for no apparent reason. Ubisoft's theory of piracy has got to go!
