These are the games I know off the top of my head.
Unreal Tournament 3
Gears Of War
Bioshock
Rainbowsix Vegas
Medal of Honour: Airborne
Brothers in Arms: Hells Highway
Huxley
Stranglehold
Im really starting to hate that engine. I have a modest system, but it should be more then enough to run bioshock and airborne on medium settings without any problems, but no, runs like crap. And i remember one time they said unreal engine 3 should run flawlessly on a 6800 Ultra, and i have a little better then that. I know its a new engine, but the graphics should justify its performance and system reuqirements, and so far unreal engine 3 dosnt look extremely better then something like the doom 3 engine.mimic-Denmark
Try playing Bioshock with a 8800 and DX10. Doom 3 can't even try to compare.

This man is a winner.
You have to max out the settings to actually compare them, you can't run an UE3 engine game on low, Doom 3 on high, and say it's better. Run them both on max, and then compare. UE3 is a much better engine, and it's very optimized. From the level of detail each UE3 game has ((Bioshock, Gears, MoH, Etc.)) that I have played so far, it is a MUCH better engine in my opinion.

It actually can, try comparing the enimies in bioshock and the enimies in doom 3, they lack a lot of details in bioshock and in doom 3 you can even see slime coming out of a hell knights mouth.

What i talked about was just on my rig, ive tried bioshock on a high end rig and its still not that more impressive, its difently not as big a step as doom3,hl2 and far cry was in 2004in graphics, those new engines now are more just nice improvements.

I'll agree. I'm impressed by the visuals rendered by the engine. Only other one that might be more impressive is CryENGINE 2.Im really starting to hate that engine. Someone probably could make a UE3 game that is not nearly so demanding. Lower resolution textures, lower triangle counts, and simpler shaders would surely make a major difference in performance. I'm thinking that more people would switch over to console gaming if PC games started toning down, though.MikaivoWell, BioShock isn't really that demanding, considering how good it looks.

Very true, I mean my computer struggles more with FEAR than it does with Bioshock, and I think Bioshock is putting more on the screen. I think what matters here is not "How good it looks" but "How efficient is it?", and it's very effecient, that's the beauty of the engine.

My com runs fear in max without a single problem, but it really struggles with biochock, and no matter what settings i set it in the fps goes under 10 in the place where you are to go to the medical pavilion in the beginnnig.
I don't have a machine that could possibly run UE3, but I don't see how you can actually compare UE3 with the Doom engine. Screenshots are enough to show that UE3 is capable of so much more, and judging from clips I've seen, the lighting effects and animations are far better in UE3 games.
Not that the Doom 3 is ugly in any way, I still get pretty wowed whenever I play Doom 3.

Im just comparing the games ive seen, the engine is only as good as those that make the games. And if you compare enimies in bioshock and the ones in doom 3, then those in doom 3 is a hell a lot more deatiled, i guees they didnt want to focus on that part because its also a console game, or im wrong :) But yes off course the ue3 can do more advanved things, the thing i didnt like was the reuqirements when so far it dosnt look like something that should require that much power, especially airborne, but again, thats properly the devolopoers that cant optimize the game right. Its just funny, they want to earn a lot of money, but they arent optimizing their games that much, and thats the exact opposit when they want people to buy their games.
Hey just wanted to know all the games that use/will be using the unreal engine 3, current and upcoming games. They look great.pcgamer_07
After seeing the new Unreal Engine in Bioshock, I love it. Runs flawlessly on my computer (except for when I load up my game (load game, not the title screen) - I have a little screen tear (tiny bit) but after that period there's no problems. Still it's nothing really significant.
I also have great hope for any game coming out that uses Unreal's new engine, let alone Unreal Tournament 3. It's good to be a PC gamer.

Yeah, seriously... I mean, I think Bioshock and MOHA look fantastic maxed out, but my barely-two-year-old computer has trouble with those games on the lowest possible settings... :|
The only grief I have about UE3 is the lack of AA in XP (or maybe it's just the games themselves). I've tried everything in BioShock and MoHA yet it's a jaggie fest... It's like playing a new game in 1997BounceDKThat depends on the resolution you play at, higher ones obviously making jaggies less noticeable. I play at 1440x900, and the jaggies are evident, but it's nothing that renders the game horrible to look at.

Those games are great although out of them vegas i have played and i hear it was just ported from the 360 and wasn't optimized properly for a wider range of systems unlike bioshock, thats ubisofts problem. Rest look good but i hear the stranglehold specs are really demanding is that another straight port from the consoles.
You can tweak settings by editing files manually in notepad (.ini maybe?) It's easy to do and can save you bundles of fps.
You can turn off tons of "extras" you probably don't need and turn down others you hate to see go. This can and will improve performance.
Bioshock should have pretty good tweak guides floating around the net by now.
if you are having trouble, tell us what Gfix card, ram and processer u have!irelevent
its in my sig, and its no trouble really my cards only a 8600gt so i don't expect to max vegas anyway, but i have read many people complaining that you need a top spec computer to run everything max, i'm fine with medium. All i was saying was apparently the game wasn't optimized that well for the pc correct me if i'm wrong.
btw whereas bioshock demo ran with no problems in high with my system. Looking forward to other ue3 engine games
