It drives me crazy how people are fine with graphic violence but they get all uptight and offended whenever someone utters a "naughty" word.lol_waffles

They use bad Russian words only once in the while. When you kill a bandit, sometimes they say Blya..., but the real cuss word is blyat', so they leave out the ending t' , so that makes it not a cuss word, kind of. It's a shame that non-Russian speakers can't understand the game, it is so funny and good. All those Stalkers or bandits or troops always tell jokes when they sit around the fire, some of those jokes are funny and they are always about stalkers in Chernobyl, or bandits or troops. When the stalker tells a joke they make fun of bandits and troops, but when the bandit tells a joke, it is about the stalker. Very often it is the same joke. Like I sad, its a shame you guys don't get to hear this, it adds up so much to the game atmosphere.ChernobulletsCould you please elaborate? Perhaps leaving some words with blank spaces so we do not invoke the all feared moderation? When I sit by the fire with my fellas I would really like to know if they aren't making fun of me!
They are not making fun of you, that's for sure. They just tell jokes. F.e.: Mercs captured a Stalker and they want to get his cash and artifacts. They dip him head-down into a barrel of water and say: "Cash and artifacts, now"! They pull him out and he says: "No!". They do it again, but he still says no. So, they just keep doing in it. After a while Stalker get tired of this and says: "Either you dip me deeper or hold me under longer, cause the water is mercy, I can't see anything!"
So, far I have heard about 15 jokes. But they repeat them often. Sometimes they just talk about other stuff, it is never really related to your game progress. They just moan about the weather, lack of decent food and beer and always wonder what the hell are they doing here. All the information that is related to the game and is important to a player is translated. I think it is a great idea! It really creates the atmosphere of Chernobyl. If you are not Russian, you sure would feel like to be in another part of the world where no one speaks your language (well, besides New Jersey). It kind of feels like an American or German or Chinese stalker in Russia. They will speak English ONLY when it needs to be addressed to you. Brilliant.

Have you ever brought it up to him? Just curious... I wonder what he would say heh. If not, don't do it though...it might backfire and he might say, "Your right! No violent games either!" :PPlease Log In to post.
