Hi, I am annoyed because i have just bought a brand new powerfull mesh computer and i had it for a bout 3 days and then I was on it(nothing has been installed apart from the OS,windows vista) and it restarted itself and came back on and said "unexpected shutdown, problem has been resolved. I would just like to know what caused this and could it have damaged anything?? thanks very much if you can help.

We have been testing new machines with Vista where I work for several months now and we have had several bluescreen crashes. So far they don't seem to dangerous. As for why they occur, I really couldn't say other than that vista still has some bugs to be worked out. These issues will probably be resolved with a service pack sometime in the future.

Ok thanks very much for the help. At the moment I have had no more crashes but vista has slowed down quite a bit since i first got it but suppose its slows down a little when you start exploring the OS a bit more and so more files are added to the computer. Thank you very much for the help. I just hope its a vsta problem.:)

do you have your pc hooked up to a nice UPS?  Brownouts will cause pc's to act very strange.  "electricity voltage drops but not doesn't completely cut off"Â
