I got a 3200+ Winchester core Athlon 64 and wanna know if its worth it to upgrade to the 4200 X2. I just got an 8800 GTS (320MB) and I know my CPU is the bottleneck. Will a 4200 X2 help this, or will the difference not even be noticable??

Plz halp...

Get a AM2 CPU+Mobo+RAM,you shouldn't spend anymore money on Socket 939.

Its a good upgrade, because the x2 is dirt cheap, if I was you I would get x2 4800 its the best bang for the buck in my opinion.

Spend a bit more and get an Opteron 185, afaik it's the last and best s939 cpu you can get.

for 939 don't bother, those chips are over priced, you would pay more than the same chip on am2+m/b and possible ram as well. currently single core is enough for games but if you wana play games this xmas and your on a buget go for an am2 4000x2-4600x2 and 2gb ram
