I can play games like Wow and the cod series pretty good fps wise. And guild wars 2 isnt to bad. Im looking to jump on the band wagon of Dayz along with bf3, i havent bothered with upgrades too much as of late and was wondering if i could get some help. Im not looking to spend too much but would like a good upgrade that would last for a while. Here are my specs: Geforce GT520silent 1gbddr3 4.00 gb ram intel pentium dual core 2.60ghz 450w psu

What about a game like arma 2 i can play it now but not good at all to say the least, guild wars 2 is okay but i would like to not have to lower the settings. a cpu was first on my list because its what my brother recommended, i just like having multiple thoughts and inputs.

Buy a used quadcore, Im guessing you have an lga 775 board p45 perhaps. Core2quad should work, but check speccy. Im selling my old quad btw.

Though I say the main priority here is actually the graphics card. I'd say at least a hd 6850 for $150.
