Upgrade the processor, and if your motherboard is compatable, don't upgrade to the i5. Upgrade to this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103960&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID= Not only is it .4 GHz faster, and has 2 more MB of cache, but it has 8 freaking cores. I'm planning on building a rig with a 4.0 GHz processor (same family and series as this one, but $200), and I have a friend with a 3.5 GHz 8 core (same family and series and everything)Maverick6575
If he's already bought the motherboard it wont work

The i5-3470 is far superior to the Zambezi, more than enough to justify the extra 40 bucks. Cut and paste this link: http://www.tomshardware.com/charts/cpu-charts-2012/benchmarks,140.html (Boy, oh boy, does Gamespot screw up links. I tried to link to a comparison, but it cut it short.)
Still, the Zambezi is a plenty good gaming CPU, and you'll get more from a better graphics card, as is almost always the case.
Thanks for all the help guys. and by the way i am looking to build the computer here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O6olutcuXHc but i have enough money to upgrade one of the two.. ill probably Upgrade to the i5 since im not the best with computers and dont feel the confidence to switch around the build alot. Thanks for your guys help. :Dbasebob28
what is your overall budget?

What are you trying to show? Neither chip is there.

Im using the money I get from selling my 360 and games plus a couple hundred.. so $600-$700, and for $500 this seems like an amazing build, I just wanted to upgrade one of the two components to get even better performance. I may even upgrade them both, just depends on about how much its going to be costing.[QUOTE="lostrib"][QUOTE="basebob28"]Thanks for all the help guys. and by the way i am looking to build the computer here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O6olutcuXHc but i have enough money to upgrade one of the two.. ill probably Upgrade to the i5 since im not the best with computers and dont feel the confidence to switch around the build alot. The statement for "The i5-3470 is far superior to the Zambezi" may not be true for all cases.
AMD's "Gaming Evolved" intervention is also being applied for the CPU side.

Hes showing AMD whooping on intel. lol but seriously dont get the 8150. i get to keep my little secret all to myself
Sweeping statements are always inaccurate.Intel processors are vastly superior, case closed.
