im just curious if im gonna see a massive improvement on my performance in games if i upgrade my video card to this gen latest? or should i wait for the next gen of video cards, although i can't play with my games higher that 1440x900 resolution (my lcd's native is 1440x900) or is my 8800GT OC 700core/2000mem clockspeed more than enough for that resolution, thanks in advance guys!

it shoudl be enough till Q2 2009. if you want more power get a better psu : and buy a second 8800GT OC for only 85$ in sales
or do w/e and buy a 4850 overclcoked it like having two 8800GT or :you can buy 4870 1GB or GTX 260 Core Edition it up to you it depend of money you make. if you fell ul be broke for nothing till spring. and back then can't buy ur self a decent video card it you if you fell like you got no extreme gaming lust for the most recent game on market now, you can wait
The Big Thing release next year

yes but it mostly ur cpu that will make a differance as i far know. you could switch mobo & cpu for only 200$ that could kill ur system and keep ur current ram : of corsair like P45 + E8400 or P35 + E8400 that would Twice The FPS you want to see why?
because resolution consume more then 1280x1024 while technicaly as less pixel then 1280x1024
http://www.legionhardware.com/document.php?id=775&p=3

Black = 1440x900 (still in produciton but useless)
Red = 1680x1050 = 199$ monitor 22 inch
Blue 1920x1200 24 inch : 299$+
more number in fps = mean better
here let see a game such as world on conflict at all max + AA
STronger is the Video card more it Weaker Compare to each cpu

CPU & VIdeo card are Essential after 2-3 year. it just that Core 2 duo revelead to kill amd most of the time
but the phenoon black edition 9950 is near them but still core 2 duo offer better overlcocking : By :February there rumour Of Core 2 duo killer The Shangai I think they call ? From AMD. it will be shrink & better ghz and optimized for overclocking with stepping
a first for amd i got no preview benchmark to approve my myth about the newest amd core release

Those cpu comparison graphs are more than just a little misleading. They make it seem like a bigger difference than it is by using odd graphs, also they are using cpu intensive benchmarks.

dude save money and get a P5Q for 80 pound which is P45 & good Stable for overclcokign & everthign
else if you'r really money greedy of 20 pound there is this thing for you
http://www.overclock.co.uk/product/Asus-P5KEPU-Intel-P35-Socket-775-DDR2-Motherboard_7406.html
a P5K (P35)55$ include VAT
and for the other 89$ VAT http://www.overclock.co.uk/product/Asus-P5Q-PRO-P45-Socket-775-1333FSB-DDR2-Motherboard_7652.html

but remind if you do overclcoking it will cost you another 20-35 pound for a good after market cooler just letting you know
and for better temperature / performances an airflow designed case such as CM 690 / Thermaltek armor JR / MX / Full tower
are in idea
