Specifically in BF3 multiplayer, I don't even have it on Ultra or 1080p. It chugs down to 20fps. I even overclocked with MSI afterburner.

I don't know what to do in Catalyst Control Center, there are so many options. What do you recommend? What is optimal?

I have a core i5 3.10 Ghz, 8 gig Ram.

HALP please :(

Yes I went on their site and upgraded everything. Every video on youtube of this card shows BF3 multiplayer running like butter. That's why I paid $300 for it.

I wouldn't panic. That is a substantial upgrade and you were correct to think that the 7950 would make a difference in BF 3. Try re installing the game or the drivers.

That FPS is too low. My 7850 runs BF3 at max settings, 0xMSAA, max FXAA, at 1080p at about 55fps avg. Try removing AA and turn on post processing AA instead. It looks just the same but is much less GPU demanding.

XBox 360 version has 24 player limit and cap'ed to 30 FPS. PC version can go upto 64 players. Also, your internet broadband could also influence the gameplay.

With my gtx580 i was getting a steady 60fps with the game fully maxed, so you sould be getting well more than what you are.

multiplayer of BF3 is much heavier than single player... But its not enuff to bring ur card to knees.

U need to format ur windows, or possibly reinstall game...

ANd on 2nd note, dont epect miracles on LA NOIRE, the game is poorly ported from ps3 and caped at 30fps..

ok dont panik and dont listen people saying to format. Fisrt thinks first. When you install a new Vga its a good idea to remove the previous drivers before installing it . Remove catalyst drivers then download driversweeper restart into safe mode run driver sweeper and tell it to remove any AMD drivers. That way you remove any possibilities of driver conflicts Then install the new VGA go to AMD site download the latest stable drivers ( 12.6 ) and install them If BF3 still gives you problems uninstall it and then install it again

Funny thing is my son runs BF3 on ultra and high settings on the very big maps, and he's only running a 6850, paired with a Phenomx3. I was shocked when I saw how well it ran! He has 8gb of ddr2(800mhz) , but I don't think that would make a substantial difference.

I think ronvalencia and Adam are right. Re-installing your GPU drivers wouldn't hurt.
