Same as me :D You'll want a new PSU to power a new GPU. 9800GTX+/4850 - $200, GTX260/4870 - $300. Might need a 64-bit Os to use all of your RAM, you have 3GB right?

Yea right now I have 3GB im also using vista but im going back to Xp because Vista is garbage. Makes games, programs... everything run bad, slow and trippy. I want 4gb, i think on Xp theyll register it as like 3.25 or sumtin

And i kinda want to spend $350 or less for new gpu, psu and ram.

What runs bad? Have you tried disabling indexing or superfetch?

Umm games mainly getting bad fps compared to when i ran them on XP. Programs start slow (games too), alot of times programs will cause comp to freeze. Comp crashes too like once or twice a week.

How do i disable those things? I think i disabled indeing.

1) Get a reliable PSU, at least 450W

2) Get a Radeon 4850, or wait and see if the 9800 GTX+ will materialize.

That's a lie. ATI releases monthly WHQL drivers. That means they are thouroughly tested and get certified. Their drivers are stable and give a performance boost in several games every single month. Last I checked Nvidia releases more beta drivers than certified ones. You'd be getting a slower card because of a false myth.
