Upgrading Existing PC or sell it and get a new one?

My current desktop has...

3.4GHz P4 w/ HT

320GB HD

Nvidia GeForce 6600

1GB of Ram

16x

DVD-16X/CD drive (Dual)

Not sure what kinda mobo and stuff I have.. I was wondering how much it would cost to upgrade this to a Quad/Dual core.. add 1gig of ram and up the video card to something much more recent.. Could I sell the mobo/processor/vid card and get some of the money back?

if I'm better off just selling it and getting a new computer, how much could I get for this one? I'm looking at a 800-900 build that is tempting from ibuypower.com

If you can afford it,definitely build new.

Don't go iBUYPOWER,they're a bad company along with CyberPower.
