right now i have: Nvidia 7900GS 256 mb 1024 mb DDR 400 Ram AMD Opteron 2.9 ghz (FX-60 equivalent in benchmarks) EVGA Micro atx sli mobo, a TERRIBLE 160 gb 5400 rpm poopy drive which has constant load recently and causes extreme frame drops regardless of how smooth frame rate is.( i reinstalled windows 3 times i guess the Hd is just dying out.)
My true question is i plan on getting a 256 mb 8600 GTS (i know its not the best) for around 110 and another one a month later. Would a sli 8600 gts (which is comparable to an 8800 gts 320 mb) run the newer DX10 games fine just as the 8800 gts would or would it lack very badly due to its 128 bit structure (well 256 bit with 2 of them)? Because Crysis is looking beautiful and i cant wait to get to play it. I also plan on throwing in an extra gig of ram. Also if i replaced my poopy 5400 rpm HD with a 7200 rpm would it make a noticeable difference???
Thanks a lot i look forward to your repliesss.
