Upgrading my GFX card to GTX 570 - worth me upgrading processor?

Hey guys,

I just bought a GTX570 to replace my 8800GTX. I currently have a Core 2 Quad Q6600 processor. Would it be wise if I was to upgrade that too? To an i5 760 for example, or will my current processor be capable of handling all the latest games at full?

No, but then I haven't really needed to up until this point. My PC is slowly starting to fail at the latest games on max. If I was to overclock it, then that would definitely be ok?

Im going on black ops with a 8800gts + q6700. Lol, if you feel your computer is slowing down than it may be other parts of the computer. If you have a 8800gtx than you must of had it for a while. I recommend cleaning out your harddrive, old drivers, overclock your cpu!! and install new drivers. Taking care of the computer with a simple maintanence can really help an older comp like mines.

Well actually, I have my harddrives running in raid 0 and one of them failed the other day which forced me to do a clean install of windows anyway lol. Yeah got my comp in August 2007.

If I was to overclock my CPU, I'm gonna need thermal paste right?
