Hi all, This is my current rig: Core2Quad Q6600 @ 2.40GHz 6GB DDR2 RAM Nvida 9800gt 700W PSU I was thinking of getting a GTX460, specifically this card https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-064-GI . Do you think it's a good upgrade? my 9800gt is starting to show it's age now, in games like World of Warcraft, i get some low frame rates in the cataclysm areas. and I'm also playing games like Bad Company 2 and others.

460 is about 2x the performance of a 8/9800GT.

So you recommended it right? I'm afraid that it won't go well with the rest of my setup

An Asus P5QC , also let's say i'd replace my current PSU with a one with lower power, would there be any harm done to the computer? I'm saying this because i've been hearing a bit of humming noises coming from my computer and my main suspect is the PSU. Thanks for the help

If you get a new PSU, go for 600+.

Your CPU is a bit low clocked, it shouldn't be any major problem yet, but there is probably a few games out there that could use a bit more power on a single core.

You could run that rig off almost any power supply, if you need to replace it be sure to get a quality brand.
