usb help please!

i really need help my usb ports arent working the pop up saying it recognizes a device doesnt show up but if i plug in a mp3 it charges but thats it i just reinstalled windows any ideas to what could fix my problem would be greatly appreciated!

Did your mp3 player come with a CD? You may need to install the driver for the mp3 player off of it.

If you reinstalled windows and upgraded it you might need to install usb drivers, I know when I switched to vista my usb didn't work until I did.

And, also if your mp3 player did come with a CD and you don't have it, just find it online.
