ok guys so everytime i plug in either my external or like a cellphone to my computer it wont read it, it wont show up at all. my external looks like if it was on and my cellphone charges. am using windows 7 64bit

reinstall your drivers... it will only be drawing power and thats why your phone still charges. make sure, if your using the front input panel, that the cable has come loose from the motherboard.

you have this problem on all usb ports or just one. there are many usb ports in any pc. generally 5-6 at back and 2 in front.
