Using a PS3 Controller To Play Games

I loved playing AC but I hated it with a Mouse and Keyboard. So I was wondering can I hook up my PS3 controller (I already have done that and works) and use it to play Assasins Creed? I don't know where to set it up. Or is there really no reason to be able to make your PS3 controller work on a PC?

P.S. I would buy it on the PS3 but I'm not willing to spend 30 dollars on it when I spent 50 for the PC version (didn't have a PS3 when it came out).

I think you can hook it up then you gotta download a program that runs the controls or something...

Not sure though...

I dont think it works very well, isnt the xbox 360 gamepad the undisputed best gamepad for PC?? probably better off spending the $30 on that.

Doesn't a PS3 controller plug into a PS3 slot? I don't see how that could plug into a computer.minipunch828

there is a program called GlovePIE that supports DualShock SixAxis controller which then you can program keys to do anything!

Just type in google: GlovePIE download link. I use it with my WiiRemotes and it's great you should try it!

I got it working in the game. Also I had another PS3 controller I didn't spend the money on it just for this.DiabeticDood

Thats entirely a preference thing..

not some universally accepted proven fact..

and the ps3 controller seems to be better to me personally and a lot of other people.

the ps3 is smaller, lighter amd the analogs are extremely sensitive..

I use it for left for dead and it is perfect..

so not.. it's not undisputed.. at all...
