Here is my issue, I just bought some new wireless headphones; Pioneer SE-DIR800C. They decode dolby digital and have surround sound. I have my PS3 connected to my TV via HDMI, than optical from my TV to the headphone station. Using this method it only sends stereo sound. Is there a way to send Dolby Digial through my TV to the headphone station.

Thanks in Advance

Unfortunately, most TVs can only send out stereo sound from their optical output, unless the source is OTA digital TV. Why not try connecting your headphones to the PS3's optical output, and setting up the optical output as the primary audio source and HDMI as the secondary? This way, you'll get 5.1 output to your headphones, and 2.0 output via HDMI to your television.
