Using windows 7 beta exclusively

After weeks of planning and reading reviews I'm ready to purchase my first gaming computer in over five years. I don't want to buy Windows Vista to have to upgrade to Windows 7 shortly. Can I install the windows 7 beta release client (without another OS already installed) and expect it to preform well with games until I purchase the full version in October?

i can play play most things well on windows 7. i haven't tried somethings, but it seems to do pretty much everything well

I have had no problems with any games with windows 7. You may have trouble on some really old games, but I don't have any issues with more recent games.Luminouslight
