I will probably go with Unreal Tournament. I've played UT2k4 (I don't really like the multiplayer...not enough substance for me), and when you go out onto the battlefield with a billion players out there, it's just plain fun.
Then again, I will be getting them both, no doubt. I have no real idea what to expect from Crysis, so I'll have to wait and see what that plays like.
I'm definitely looking forward to Crysis more, just because the game will have a story, rather than UT, where it is just mindless blasting (mind you thats fun!)

101% UT - why? When it comes to multiplayer I prefer in-your-face action. Spawn, shoot, die, spawn. Brilliant! No mucking around. Eat my shorts and call me Charlie.
Crysis - well at the moment is another single player. They advertise the engine about 6 million times however didn't say much about gameplay. Go figure.

I have no doubt single player will be good, but I'm still unsure about multiplayer. I definitely agree with you about UT's multiplayer, though. Definitely in-your-face action.
But like I said, I'll most likely get them both. So whatever.

lol Who cares about gameplay when you have graphics that look like that? Game is about shooting commies and aliens, what more could you want.
Crysis. Seems to take the freedom from FarCry and make it better. The physics will make for some really great moments, and the multiplay sounds really fun.
UT3 is probably a little too simplistic for me, might be fun though, but I still think I'll like Crysis much more.
I didn't really like UT04 because most people played Onslaught and Assault which wasn't the fast-paced, intense UT action I was used to. In that sense, I liked UT03 better because most people were playing instagib CTF and bombing run which was where it was at. Seeing that UT3 will pretty much be a better looking UT04 so far, I probably wouldn't be too happy with it.
Crysis, seeing how great it looks, runs, and that it's from the people who brought us FarCry, I'd definitely be looking forward to that. I like a really good single player game (like SW Republic Commando;))
With that said, I'm not going to get either game. Gonna spend my spare change on biking stuff this summer 8).
You should make a poll...
Oh, and crysis ownz by the way :)

You've never even played it yet.
For Unlimited Gametime Experience - UT3, coz the UT series had countless gamemodes + mods + maps + new experience each game. You can even have fun without ever going online at all, courtesy of UT's unsurpassed competitive A.I Bot
For Competitive Gameplay - UT3, coz thats what its widely known as, a competitive game
For Solid Single-Player Gameplay - Crysis, coz the game emphasizes on Single-Player, well at least thats what the previews said
For User-Editability - UT3, proven by its huge mod community for the previous game (although Crysis also promised a powerful editor, shown by its trailers)
For Visual Beauty - Crysis of course. UT3 has nice graphics quality, but Crysis is potentially the most beautiful game ever I guess.
Well, I think those are the most important factors in an action game. 3-2 for UT3, so I'd go for UT3
UT2k4 remains the deapest most intense and visceral TDM fps to date imo; I find it sad to find the amount of posts where people bash it (calling it simple f. example) even if I feel like 95% of these people never played in a real serv with experienced players... It takes a LONG time to become good at UT... Weapons are varied and very different from one another, you also have to change weapons in an instant to match your opponent. In traditional FPS there is rarely any balistic/splash/charge/combo weaponery and switching from a pistol to a rifle isin't what I call strategic. Powerups, low grav, instagib, capture the flag, etc.
I could write a book on how UT is unique and soooo alone in it's category. [...] That said, I'm looking for UT3 much more, but the idea of running Crysis on my setup gives me shivers(good ones). Hope they both live up to their fkin high expectations.
Crysis will also have a strong mod community backingthe game, in fact there are even two mods being developed -with support from Crytek - alongside the actual game. For Unlimited Gametime Experience - UT3, coz the UT series had countless gamemodes + mods + maps + new experience each game. What I mean when I said that UT is simple was not a bash. What I meant was that the general idea of the game is simpler, go out and kill the other guys, take their flag or such things... I didn't mean to say that the tactics and so on is simple.
It is however big differences between a game that is built around death matches and one that is built around a single player action story. And that's not meant in a bad way either ;)

I haven't read this post for a while hence this late reply. CubePrime- I couldn't agree with you more. UT takes real talent. So many gameplay styles, so many options. You cannot say Domination is like CTF like Bombing Run like Assault. And as you said the weapons themselves have personalities. I keep on learning new tactics with each weapons - and that includes the biogun!
