UT3 or not ?

hey, I'm really in decision on whether or not I should buy Unreal Tournament 3. To start it off, I'm aware that they took out some of the good game modes like bombing run and onslaught and I'm alright with that, I mostly want just a classic online death match game to play. I just got a ATI HD3870 which ran best for this game. Just the game is $60, which I find is over priced for a pc game. Most pc games are $50, like cod4, world in conflict, supcom etc...

What I mainly want to know if this game is worth buying if I just want to play a deathmatch style game online and good graphics.

The game is 50 dollars. The version you are looking at is the Special Edition that comes in a tin.

About actually buying it...I dont have it, but I want it. I liked UT2k4, and people say they are very similiar, so I suppose if you like UT2k4 you will like UT3.

If there are other games that you haven't played yet, you might want to get those instead. UT3 is just average.

Onslaught is still there, by the way. They just gave it a new name.

Get it. UT3 is freakin amazing and once you set your 'favourite' servers you don't have to search very long to join a decent game. Mods are starting to get really good, too. You won't regret it._7h0m_

SKaREo mind your own there are plenty of servers 24h/7 it just proves you never played the game. BTW are you remotly a fan of arena shooters? Do you have any idea how much skill is required to compete at a higher level in UT? It's unique and stands above the ocean of generic idiot-filled modern shooters that conglomerate 80% of the recent offerings.

The only thing that compares is 2k4... The author of the thread is a fan of the series, he's sure to remotly enjoy UT3.

yeah, I'm actually a pretty big fan of the series, spent a good amount of hours on 2k4, took a break for a year or two and now I'm feeling like coming back for more. And yeah, _7h0m_ is probably right, i got a good server browser, HLSW, so I could just find a couple nice 24/7 DM servers and be good to go. Hmm I think I'm gonna get it. I think I can put aside the fact that the online community isn't as big as I would want it to be, I don't care about AI because I'm not gonna bother with the single player. And there does seem to be alot of content coming out for this game, alot of new maps n such, so it should be awesome! I can't wait to get this game :D-Origin-

They fixed most of the AI problems in the patches.

what do u mean by that. if you wanna say u need a 3rd party server browser to find any servers cause the in game browser is crap then yes, you are right

btw i was a big fan of ut but ut3 is the lamest in series. better get ut2k4 if u dont have it already.
