GDay all just wondering how many have this game and if they enjoy it. I picked it up for $20 AUS and find it a pretty good RPG. The bugs do get pretty annoying especially when it goes into crashing mode. I hadnt really heard much of it before I picked it up but would like to hear what others think of it

I hear it's an extreme buggy game but there are user made patches that are meant to help. I think one recently released.

I thought that it was sad just how much potential this game had and yet it was flawed by they amount of bugs.  I believe it was developed by Torika (former Fallout guys); however, they don't exist anymore.  One thing I couldn't stand about the game was how they made the characters walk.  It was just weird.

I have had that game installed on 2 different computers, and used only up to the offcial patch 1,2, and after that ZERO problems, never had a crash, so i dont really see the big deal about the bugs, and ive completed the game 3 times now with 3 different clans and had a great time. Awesome game. I would recommennd not using the user made patches, because most of the things they do is alter the gameplay og things in the game, and mostly for the worse.

Bloodlines is one of my all time favorite games. It was just so atmospheric and engrossing....the only problem is that it's quite buggy and the graphic performance is rather poor (which is weird because it uses the source engine which is normally silky smooth).

One of my favourite games ever. ITs incredibly buggy, but after you apply the user created patches, it becomes very playable.

I recommend this game to anyone, and everyone.

An excellent game. I had very few bug problems after installing the first official patch. I'm pretty sure you can find it on gamespot if you search for bloodlines. And Mr.bojangles (sp?) - you can get it from Direct 2 Drive.

The first half of the gameis a work of gaming art. The second half deteriorates into a mindless hack fest. Worth it for the first sections of the game though, definatly.

It's one my favourite games for many reasons. It was quite buggy until I installed the official patch and some of the non official patches, but now it runs/flows like blood, but since blood is thicker than water you need at least 1gb RAM to be able to play it any good.

Voice acting, environments, skill system, story, disciplines and dialogue choices are all great. All the RPG aspects of the game are great and some FPS aspects are quite good as well, although you can't compare any of  them with HL2. The combat is fun if you put enough points in the necessary skills. A lot of little things as well as all the major things, make this such a great game.

One of the best RPGs I ever played. Played it twice and got stuck near the end, but I downloaded patches which fixed the crash problem and finished when I played it third time, superb game, I recommend it anybody who likes RPGs.

No - I also played it and experienced zero bugs - 'course I started out by downloading and installing the official 1.2 patch and then the User Community 2.3 patch.

Bloodlines is my all time favorite game ever.  I don't know why but everything about it drew me in and completely clicked for me.  I pretty much disregarded everything in my life for three straight days while I played...  I bought it a year ago in the bargain bin for $19.99 and it was the best 20 bucks I ever spent.  There's a part of me that wants to track down Tim Cain and send him $50 of pocket money and an apology for not buying the game when it first came out...  :P

If you liked Deus Ex and/or System Shock 1/2 you will enjoy Bloodlines.

I love this game, despite the bugginess. With patches installed I didn't have any bugs that prevented me finishing the game, but I continue to have occasional crashes to desktop.

I love playing a vampire and the powers are very cool and fun to use. The writing and voice acting is really good in this game: Jenette/Therese and Alistar Grout (recordings) are great examples.

The different clans offer significant replay value. Malkavians were the most fun for me, but I think you needed to play through once as a different clan to truly appreciate them.

While trying different clans creates replay value, the rest of the game doesn't really. You'll get every item every time through. The main story line is very linear and side quests are fairly minor. The game world feels small and under populated.

Someone mentioned the funny walking. The actual in game animation is fine (to me) but the cut scene animations are really sloppy (to the point of making your vampire look like a dweeb). My guess is that they roughed out the cutscene animation with the intention to go back and do it right later, but time and money constraints made them release the game half baked.

The community patches are great, but a warning to the hardcore gamer: They make an already fairly easy game easier by tweaking combat rules and adding back items that were removed from the game by the developer.

i've also heard that it can be pretty buggy, but there is a crapload of patches for it that is supposed to address most issues...

Vampire Bloodlines is simply one of the most enjoyable gaming experiences i have ever had. There's really no better way to put it.I absolutely fell in love with the characters and the world(of Darkness, zing!).I didn't experience any bugs except for the sometimes wonky physics.
