Very Disappointed in COH: Tales of Valor

What a complete rip-off! First, I don't give a rats ass about multiplayer. I bought this game expecting a satisfying single player campaign to rival Opposing Fronts, which I thought was great. Tales of Valor is barely 3 hours long. I was like completely shocked when the first campaign ended thinking "This is it!". Furthermore, they changed the gameplay considerably - it's totally different. No unit and base building or resource gathering and half the missions were like watching a movie as the AI did half the work for you. The two or three missions in each campaign were extremely fast paced too with some running into each other that they wouldn't add up to one mission in COH or OP.

Man, I was so excited to get some new COH stuff to play and now I'm very disappointed. I even sent an email to THQ. I'm freakin' pissed.

At most, this should have been like a $10 downloadable content deal and marketed for additional multiplayer content.

and again threquels/2nd expansions proove that they suck. (exceptions to every rule of course)

I got the same feeling from the reviews, the SP is very short and doesn't add alot. I will also be passing on this one since I don't play MP and will pick up Men of War.

3hrs for $30?? Ouch. I only have the original game. How long was Opposing Fronts?visceron

Opposing Fronts two campaigns (British and German) are about as long as the original and very cool. I recommend getting that one.

I just picked up the gold edition(COH,+ opposing fronts) and am extremely inpressed with the game and was wondering whether or not tov was good glad to know that i should wait till it drops to $10 or so.

If anyone wants it, I have an extra copy of COHOF (bundled version, no box) that I can trade.

they said a lot of time that the game is aimed at MP people and people who never buyed a coh game before.

if you don't have CoH already, you get 3 short SP missions, all 4 factions, all maps including the ToV only ones and 3 new operations

if you have coh+OF already, yeah ToV isn't worth it unless you realy want to play the new MP things

graphics were sharp and spectacular as well as the gameplay...sory you didn't like it - you are very much in the minority.
