Yes... there's really no compatibility issues when you choose a motherboard and speakers.

I read that somewhere also, but is it gonna be full 5.1 audio?

Thats what I precisely meant. The speakers specs said that it can do matrix(like fake) 5.1 audio if your comp doesnt support 5.1 audio.

But I want full 5.1 audio without wanting to buy a new sound card with my comp...So does the mobo has the connection for it?

The audio chip used supports 6 channels (ie 5.1), but the I/O does not seem to have enough ports. So no, I don't think you can get full 5.1 audio on that board. You'll still be able to use the speakers, just not in full 5.1 stereo.

Oh god, that just ****** up my whole build plan.

I would really want cool audio, after so ong that im getting a new pc for gaming, I just dont wanna give up on audio and getting a separate snd card would be a bit costly I guess.

Is there any other good motherboard for the c2d in that price range. Please help me up, Im wanna order late this week or early next week maybe if I get access to the net at the new appartement there next week.

It's good, but the Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3R is better.

And the 650i doesn't support PCI-e 2.0 and might not support Intel's upcoming 45nm processors. You can decide which one of those you'd prefer - two graphics cards, or a 45nm quad-core processor and a PCI-e 2.0 graphics card (which isn't a big deal, it's just like AGP 8x over AGP 4x).

So the ga-p35-ds3r is all about future-proof-ability...

Mna I just cant really decide, I see like 3 options....

1-Get a asus 650i and a cheap sound for 5.1 audio.

2-get gigabyte 650i ds4.

3-get gigabyte ga p35 ds3r.

I feel so... I dont know... was gonna order up so soon and now m up late searching for a good mobo, god does it have to be so hard...

You could get a pretty cheap $20 sound card that supports 5.1.

You could always go for the Gigabyte P35 DS3P... I'm not so sure on the prices, or your budget, but from what I'm hearing, it's a very future proof board. I'm fairly certain it has what you're looking for. I think it's roughly the same price as the DS3R, maybe give or take a little more.

Just get the P35C DS3R and a cheapish sound card, it will be worth it. Its always worth paying extra for the sound card if your actually bothered about the sound! The built in sound is probably crap compared to a separate sound card...
