So to make this short.. I would think that running the hdmi cord from the GPU to my Monitor would be better. But that isnt the case.. The quality is worse then if I was to use the Vga.. The cords are really nice.. Not sure.. Do I have to enable something in my Card or is it like plug and play???

its plug and play but you may need to reinstall your videodrivers or optional hdmi audeio drivers if this is running to a TV in order to get audio coming out of your tv's speakers

VGA is analogue. DVI and HDMI are digital so provide a better signal. (DVI is the same as HDMI but without audio)

essentially.. yes

dvi can read the analgue and so can hdmi hence why we have coverter attachments but pure dvi to dvi are often claimed to be significantly better.

as stated you may need to install video drivers or a video driver optional feature.. i know on amd cards you need to install drivers again and select the hdmi audio codec among the custom installation list

you also only need one cable connecting to the monitor not two.

Are you sure you're running the right resolution and aspect ratio?

Ok 1 more thing.. Now DVI and Hdmi are the same when it comes to video quality and gaming.. So since im running the vga/dvi connecter it would be even worth doing? Or should I just leave it.. I have surround sound so there is no point for the built in speakers on my monitor..

Sorry to jump on with a tangent question but as a rule of thumb going from PC to LCD Montitor should that be HDMI or VGA? Taking into account you have all correct drivers etc.

kraken2109
I believe so, the native resolution is 1920x1080 and the ratio is correct

VGA/DVI/HDMI all look the same on my monitor. I use HDMI because the connectors and cable isn't as phat.

Assuming good quality cables and monitor, I don't think you should be able to tell a difference unless you live next to high voltage power lines or something.

Can't explain why, it may be a profile/calibration difference the monitor has set for each input.

Don't know if it will help, but on my GTX 260 control panel I have to have Audio Enabled over HDMI or else colors look really washed out. Happens on both monitor and HDTV. No clue why though.

The first thing you do is telling what specific hardware you got, or else people grasping random straws, how do you think people can give you correct advice if they dont know where to start? 1: The problem 2: The hardware and software. 3: Problem solving you did yourself and the result of it. Answer these three and I'm sure someone can give you good answers. Ffrom what little you've told i do think your trying to use a TV as a monitor, that will explain why you experience some odd going on, so tell the exsact hardware first, then ask. :)
