Hey there, atm I have a NVIDIA Geforce 7900 GT/GTO. I was wondering if anyone knows any cards that is a good upgrade from this card. Also my powersource is 650w. With the new MMO's coming out soon that have high requirements I thought I might look artound see if there are any vid cards that I could get that would help me out. Can u think of any? Id say under 350 dollars would be good but I'm open to any suggestions.

8800GTS 512 ($250ish), 8800GT ($200), or 9600GT ($150) are all good choices for the money. If you're looking to only play MMOs, you shouldn't need to drop $350.

I'm looking and the 8800gt and the 9600gt cards and I plan to play games like RTS games and maybe a FPS or 2. Like the C&C 3 FPS game what ever that is going to be called. I'll probable end up gettting that game once it comes out but I'll mainly stick with rts games like sc.

Right at the moment I have a wireless adaptor that is how I get on to the internet and it is 27' away so I'm trying to figure out how to boost the signal so that I can watch trailers better and I may playonline again if not then I may have to get a router my self but that would deffeat the purpose.

8800 GTS (G92) is a very good option at Newegg. EVGA has a good warranty plus the step-up program.

I would recommend getting either 2 8800 GTs (512mb) or getting 1 8800 GTS (512mb) if that helps at all

Any chance anyone knows how long it is? I saw someone on Newegg mention that its a big card, and I can't seem to find the length anywhere.

Edit: N/m Found it 9"

Edit 2: What a downer, i thought for sure I had a 600w power supply, turns out it's only 450.

The card AND the power supply will prob heat this computer like crazy and Ill need to to tons of cooling work on it.

Wait for the 9800GTX to come out, since its supposed to be around $300. That could present a couple options for you:

1) 9800GTX turns out to be a great performer and at the $300-level would be a good investment.

2) 9800GTX flops but its closeness in price to the 8800GTS results in a price drop for the 8800GTS, in which case you grab one of those.

crossfire 2xHD3870 or SLI 2x9600GT if your motherboard supports crossfire or SLI, best option for under 350$ IMO
