Hello all,I have a 2Ghz dual core processor,2GB of RAM and onboard video, and Im currently saving money for a cheap video card.Which one is better-the NVidia 7600GS or the ATi 2600 Pro. Thanks :)
Neither of those are really good cards, you should save up a bit more, and maybe you will be able to afford one of the next gen cards, or you could buy one of the current gen, when the prices go down.
Thanks for replying :) Well,Im not really into pc's can you reccomend me a model that can run games like assassins creed, prototype, etc on medium settings? And BTW Im also planning to get another 2Gb of RAM,do you think its necessary or should I leave it at 2GB?

If you want to play those games on at least medium settings it in part depends on your monitor/resolution. If you've got a 17" or smaller monitor you can probably go with a 9800 GT. If you have a 19"+ monitor you'll probably want a GTX260. Both are under $150 now so very affordable, and when the next gen DirectX11 cards come out later this year you might see them as cheap as $100. But you may also need to upgrade your PSU because any GPU worth using takes a lot of amps. For the RAM, if you use XP stick with the 2GB. IF you use Vista or plan on Windows7 you'll need 4GB.

A GTX260 is overkill man. Even with a 22" monitor, that'd max these games with atleast 2-4x AA.
