If you want to upgrade, you should be looking at system overhaul. Not worth upgrading fossils. C_RuleI don't have that kind of money....
Every once in a while when i boot my pc up it f**** up the color and resolution. and it sometimes will even freeze the whole pc.pokemondude2012It could be a heat problem. Simply cleaning your PC, or reapply the thermal paste to the GPU may fix the problem. I underestimated how old the 7000 series is (2005 launch), you can get 4650 and 4670 for AGP, which were launched in 2008, they would probably be a decent upgrade.

I was hoping to get a PCI card though.
the hd 4650 or 4670 both came in agp and replacing an agp card is super ez. running it in tandem with your old card will generate alot of bugs & incompatibilityies n such
your other option is to get a gt220 or 240 from sparkle instead as they released both of those in pci if i recall correctly. but again compatibility issues will arise unless that old card is first removed.
You should be looking at AGP and NOT PCI, agp offer much better speed opposed to the PCI witch hasn't suficcient with bandwidth to run even a crappy old graphic card.
Not sure what cards still alivalable for AGP but my guess is that they're not much better than the 7800gtx, I would just scrap that PC and start over, probably have a very old CPU on it too and getting a graphic card for a slot that you wouldn't be able to moove onto a new build seems stupid to say the least.
State how much you can spend and many here will try to help you in the best way they/me can.
If your all outta money perhaps you should save or get a cheaper used console.

Yes but they're horrible limmited, they will still perform like the G210, dont matter if it were a gtx590 it'd still perform horrible due to PCI being such a bottleneck.Ok by the sounds of what you guys are saying i think i am gonna go ahead and do a rebuild. What would i need to do this. I already have a case, Monitor ,and an os. I want to keep it arounf 500-700 $pokemondude2012
Your current PC is old.
You can't buy a very good PC with this budget but you can still buy a good one.
And remember to check your case cooling system,
If it's not cool enough you need to change it.
With this budget and selling your current PC you can buy kind of this PC.
**Important:I used high prices and if the tax is not a lot in your country you can buy a better one.
VGA:GTX 430
CPU:2.66 Core 2 Quad
Ram:4GB ddr 3 Dual channel(2x2GB)
PSU:450 Watt
DVD-RW:Pioneer
HDD:500GB Sata III Caviar Black
MB:It's better to find a good one which can support newer technologies for upgrading in the future.
