So when will graphics cards use HDMI or will they?

AMD announced a chipset with integrated graphics that will have an HDMI interface available for motherboard makers to implement. That is the first one I've heard will have it.

i think there are some laptops that have them, like sony. but for graphic cards, i dont know

Some of those are component out cards - which is still HD out, but not true HDMI out.
