video editing software recommendations

adobe cs is now cloud based, not buying. can any one suggest reasonably priced alternatives $100 - $200 that can can do video overlays, transitions etc

Not sure if this program will work for you , but i use it for my video editing . It does everything I need it to do plus more

@urbangamez: I use an opensource software called Blender. It does a lot of other stuff but it does a good job of video editing to so I have been pleased.

I'm not really sure about your exact needs, but I use Action!, and so far I'm pretty satisfied with it.
