So Ihave this virus thing that's trying to sell me a product called WinBlueSoft. It won't let me do anythign and the computer auto-shuts off in 15 mins. Whenever I try opening something it cancels the process. I've tried downloading PCDoctr and malwarebytes but it cancels the process too. I've tried recovering but it won't work. It shuts off the pc before I can do it. Help.

Last resort is to reformat and start again. Do you have your windows disc? And have you backed up all your files that you want to keep?

It is best NOT to reformat. go to the website I sent you where you will be given instructions on how to properly remove your malware. Reformating is the LAST thing you should do.

Yea, if all else fails then a reformat is your only option.

Does it shutdown like this?

If it does, go to CMD and type Shutdown -a.

I would suggest getting some anti-virus software if it will set you. Try going into safemode and installing it. You can also trying running it in there as well.

No, it shuts down like how it shuts down when you hold down the button to turn on the computer.

Actually, for the average user, it is the first thing I believe people should do. One may think their system is clean, but ONE bit of malicious code that you don't find opens the door for a flood to come back (and it may get worse). The best option is to install from a known good source, and you will be protecting your system and personal information. Also, savetehhaloz, I don't know why you would come to a computer help forum just to tell people to go to another one. Help them here if you know how.

Well you could try this... share your c drive, then tell another computer to map network that hard drive so it would be like their z drive. Then tell the AV to scan the Z drive. I know mcafee enterprise lets you scan network drive (great feature I might add). Or the way that requires more work, Download a linux live cd of ubuntu Install the .deb file of avast Scan your C: drive Done.
