what's wrong with the 64?ZJIGenerally 64-bit OS's tend to have a few more problems than their 32-bit counterparts. Vista's done good so far at minimizing that, though. If you want to take full advantage of that 4GB of RAM (not that you would anyway, unless you're doing very heavy applications like video encoding and such), go with 64-bit. Just be advised that there could be some compatibility problems with it. If you want more stability/compatibility/driver support and are willing to sacrifice some of that memory, go with 32-bit.
[QUOTE="WOLVERINE281"]I would get the 32 bit and the QX6700ZJIwhat's wrong with the 64? From what I hear there is a lot less support for 64-bit vs 32-bit, in other words you have a higher chance of something not working with the 64-bit version. But maybe someone who has it can confirm or not what I have said.
get home premium, go to the link enclosed and buy the 64bit version of $10 from microsoft, theyll mail it to you then you hav both versions. use 32 bit until the world can learn to accept 64 better.blazethe1That is my plan, once a DX10 game comes out that I wanna play.
64 bit definitley. If you got 32 bit you'd only be able to use 2 gigs of ram.Nonam3gamerOh so wrong. 32-bit Vista can use up to 4GB of memory, which includes RAM. You'll never be able to use the full 4GB with a 32-bit version, true, but you can DEFINITELY use more than just 2GB.
