Hello All,

I'm planning on building my own gaming PC once the new Intel i7s hit the market. Im looking to get an ATI 4870 as well.

My only question is, what would be the disadvantage to installing my copy of XP Pro (I still have one from school) or just buying Vista 64 bit edition.

I wouldn't think it would be a performance issue. I would be without DX10, but is that it?

Yeah there's going to be 4 gigs.

then this isn't even a big question. If you get 4 gig ram you should get vista 64 to actualy have a use of the 4GB of ram...

getting xp 32 with 4 gb ram is like buying a brand new mercedes only to throw out the engine and putting one from a golf 2 in...
