HI,

I've had Vista for less than a month now and just 2 days ago Vista stopped recognizing my AVG Anti-Virus.  Also Windows Defender is always turned off when I try to turn it on it syas Looking For Definitions, and says No Definitions were found and its still off.  I tried uninstalling AVG and rebooting than re installing it but no luck.  DId all updates with it too.  I'm relli frustrated can someone please help?

Thanks Alot,

~ Danny

I have the full version of AVG and it works fine on Vista. Version 7.5 is updated to work with it. It sounds like you have a corrupted file. Wipe out the copy you have now and download a fresh copy off the internet, install it, and it should work. At least that is what I'd do. You also may need to use AVG's updater program to bring the copy up to snuff.

Unlike Nvidia, most of the antivirus venders ( AVG, Avast, ect. ) went ahead and did what was necessary for their product to work with Vista.

Yep. Anti-Virus support is good at the moment - and ATI drivers are also good with Vista.

Their drivers technically work, but they are 20-30% slower (at times) than the XP driver. If you look on teh download page, they even say they arn't optimized for 3d performance.

Yes, they do state that. Take a look at the download page, of coarse that statement is on the very bottom :
