Someone told me that they had vista and eax console they had the fatality extreme gamer Soundblaster card.
but when i tried installed my sound card ( SOund blaster audigy 2 value ) on my vista i couldnt get eax.. did they recently add it or is just for that sound card.
When I had vista it was hit oir miss whether or not a particular game would recognize that you had an EAX card. I have a creative soundblaster elite pro I was running into the same problems. Fear would sometimes recognize I had an eax card and sometimes not. The Witcher would never let me use EAX. I switched back to XP and everything now uses EAX wonderfully.:D
You're running an Audigy, so I'm not sure how well ALchemy Audigy Edition would work with it. All I do know is that EAX will not work in games under Vista if they use DirectSound to access EAX, unless you use ALchemy. Games that use OpenAL to access EAX, however, should still work normally.
